Lourens van Vuuren
Lourens van Vuuren Completed his B.COM ACC 1987 at University of Pretoria and Completed Honours B. COMPT 1994 at UNISA. He currently employed at Office of the Auditor General since 1984, he has held various positions at AGSA namely, Audit Manager 1993 -1997,Senior Manager 1997 – 2010,Business Executive 2010 – Current. Member of the Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA)Chairperson of The South African Institute of Government Auditors (SAIGA)
Nthabeleng Mzilikazi is a qualified RGA and ACCA member. She has 12 year experience working in the public sector auditing environment. Nthabeleng is passionate about people development and this is why she moved from mainstream auditing to join the Learning and Development unit (within the Auditor General’s office) where she currently serves as Senior Manager. This young lady finds pleasure in knowing that her work adds value in the lives of the citizens of the republic.
Edem Abotsi – B.Com graduate and a Registered Government Auditor (RGA).Edem started his training as an auditor at the Auditor General South Africa (AGSA), where he specialised in public sector audits, training and mentoring. He was involved in the audits of provincial departments, public entities, municipal entities, municipalities and numerous audits for the United Nations. As senior manager with the AGSA, he was the face of the AGSA in Limpopo, sharing audit outcomes and discussing technical issues affecting municipalities with external stakeholders. After 14 years of service, he left the AGSA and joined Protect A Partner as a Pre-issuance and EQCR review expert and Head of Training. Edem Abotsi is currently the Head of Compliance at the Department of Defence
Yagan Govender – B.Com(Hons) graduate and a Registered Government Auditor (RGA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).Yagan started his training as an auditor at the Auditor General South Africa (AGSA). As an Audit Manager, he was involved in regularity and performance audits of provincial and national departments, public entities, municipalities and audits for the United Nations. After 16 years of service, he left the AGSA and joined the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform as a Director in the Chief Directorate: Internal Audit.
Tini is a senior technical manager in the Audit Research and Development unit at the Auditor-General South Africa. She is responsible for research, development and guidance to public sector auditors in the fields of the audit of predetermined objectives and other specialised audits. She is professionally qualified as a chartered accountant and has 25 years of public sector audit experience.
She is representing the AGSA on an INTOSAI (International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions) working group for the development and audit of key national indicators. She conducted several training interventions and workshops on the topic of audit of predetermined objectives on behalf of SAICA. She is further a member of IRBA committees on sustainability and integrated reporting.
Johan Maree was born in Pietermaritzburg and completed his B Com Hons at UNISA in 1997. He became a Registered Government Auditor from 1 April 2003. He started his career in the Auditor General from April 1990 in Bloemfontein and progressed through the ranks to a Manager in the AGSA. He has been involved over the years in the auditing of departments, public entities and municipalities. He was also involved in technical training as well as the development of the audit software in the AGSA nationally as well as in the Free State. He has been a council member from 29 July 2011 and is currently still serving as a council member of the institute.
Fikile Mashao is a Senior Manager at AGSA ; EXCO member SAIGA. She holds a B compt Accounting UNISA and a registered RGA
Ms Meisie Nkau
Ms Nkau is the current President of the South African Institute of South Africa and a qualified RGA. In 1998 she joined AGSA as a Manager and she is a Business Executive in AGSA.
