A considerable number of Registered Government Auditors (RGA) haven’t filled up their Declaration of Ethics documents, as required by SAIGA.

The Institute has once again reiterated the call for RGAs to honour their commitment and avoid being entangled in ethical difficulties.

A Declaration of Ethics is a binding document through which members pledge to be ethical throughout the year.

However, the declaration process doesn’t end there.

Members are further required to declare that they have been ethical throughout the year, at the end of the year in question.

Failure to submit the Declaration of ethics document may result in non-compliance and suspension of membership.

The Institute urges members to declare and maintain their good standing in the auditing sector.

Below are the dates for declarations:

For all members who did not submit for 2021:

1 January 2021 & 31 December 2021

For members who have not submitted a declaration for this year:

1 January 2022

Deadline date for submission:

9 June 2022
