Former Public Protector to headline SAIGA Seminars
SAIGA are going a step further to cap what has been an incredible year with three Thought Leadership seminars.
Barely a month after the successful hosting of the 2nd Annual Conference, the Institute will be hosting three regional seminars, in the Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Limpopo in November and December.
The spring seminars are intended to give accounting and auditing professionals a forum to discuss various issues that are having an impact on the industry and the public sector, as well as a chance for our subject matter specialists to share their in-depth knowledge and expertise.
The first seminar, with the theme “Cybersecurity and Data Analytics in the Public Sector,” will take place in East London on November 18.
The next stop will continue in Pretoria on November 25th, with conversations centred on the theme “Igniting and Fostering Pride in the Public Sector.”
Limpopo will host the final summit on the theme “Forensic Auditing and Ethics in the Public Sector” in Polokwane on December 9.
Former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela is one of the high-profile speakers for the Gauteng conference, as is SALGA Acting Chief Executive Lance Joel.
SAIGA CEO Russel Morena explained that the seminars were looking to attract a wider audience, which includes people in various industries in respective provinces and not necessarily targeting the Institute’s members.
“We invite not only the members of SAIGA, but industry professionals as well as corporate South Africa to partner with us for the seminars in each province,” said Morena.
