   Government Auditing Specialism Programme (GASP) is customised for accounting and auditing professionals in the public sector. Other professionals from the private sector also join this programme to advance their knowledge and skills in public accountability and auditing.

2. RGA Designation is a unique qualification and an interesting career

   RGA is recognised as the premier qualification/designation in the public sector auditing in Southern Africa and registered with South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) at the NQF level 8. Through corporate membership a host of other organisations are affiliated to SAIGA. The corporate membership body of the Institute includes listed companies, educational institutions, audit firms, accountancy firms, public entities and numerous other organisations. Any member of the public dealing with government auditors can assess the free searchable database of RGA here: and confirm the RGA status of their auditors.
